For many years, the Cheetah Preservation Foundation has stood as a symbol of passion, dedication, and hope for the future of wildlife conservation. Through rescue efforts, education, conservation initiatives, and unwavering compassion, the foundation has touched countless lives, both human and animal, while helping create a future where people and wildlife can thrive together.
Small Contributions, Lasting Impact
The Cheetah Preservation Foundation (CPF) is dedicated to advancing the conservation of cheetahs and other endangered species through responsible captive breeding, research, rescue support, and public awareness.
The Foundation receives no government funding and relies entirely on memberships, donations, animal adoptions, and corporate sponsorships to continue its work.
Caring for wildlife carries significant daily operational costs. These include habitat maintenance, water and electricity usage, specialised diets, enrichment programmes, and ongoing veterinary care. Animal welfare remains our highest priority, supported by a dedicated team of more than 80 staff members and an on-site Animal Care Centre that supports the health and wellbeing of more than 90 species in our care.
Every contribution directly supports conservation in action. You can make a meaningful difference by becoming a member, making a donation, adopting an animal, or contributing essential items from our operational wishlist.

Glaucoma occurs when pressure builds up inside the eye due to fluid not draining properly. Over time, this pressure can damage the eye itself as well as the optic nerve - the part responsible for sending visual information to the brain. In both humans and animals, glaucoma can become extremely painful if...

Water tore through the Klein Karoo with a force that felt impossible to stop. Roads disappeared overnight. Bridges collapsed, pathways and homes were swallowed by mud and raging water. Places filled with memories, hard work, and years of dedication were left broken in a matter of hours. There were...
